June Adventures

What a truly fantastic month we have had!

This month was extra special because it was my birthday month, and what a wonderful celebration it was! At dance, Donna made such a fuss of me, which made me feel very special. She gave me a beautiful tutu and a princess crown as a birthday gift, and we all sang and danced along to lots of birthday songs.

We also had the cutest visit to the Historic Village Fairy Garden. It was such an adventure exploring all the tiny fairy houses and winding little pathways. It felt magical, like discovering a hidden treasure. The best part is that it will now be set up all the time, so I can visit it again—yay!

In art, we have been getting creative by making Matariki stars, and I also painted a lovely lavender field using watercolour paints.

One of my other favourite outings was visiting the lakes, where we had lots of fun watching the little radio-controlled sailboats gliding across the water.

We have also continued our regular volunteering at the Merrivale Community Centre, where I enjoy helping to fold clothes and put books away. It feels great to be able to help others in the community.

Back at the centre, we have been busy reading our Mary Poppins play. I get to play lots of different characters, which is so much fun.

I have also been working hard in literacy and numeracy, practising my writing skills and learning to follow the alphabet with my pencil.

To top off an already amazing month, the Ball was truly magical and one of my favourite days. I absolutely loved being part of such a special event.

It has been a month full of fun, creativity, learning, and wonderful memories!
